Underwhelming Pad See Ew — expected more

I was looking forward to Pad See Ew here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The balanced between sweet, sour, salty, and spicy character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with kaffir lime leaves or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.

Thai cooking philosophy balances four key flavour profiles in every dish. The a traditional home kitchen setting I was hoping for wasn't quite there either. nam manao lime soda was available but not suggested appropriately. I've had much better versions elsewhere. Two stars because the dish concept is sound; the execution let it down.
