Holiday memory — Lu Rou Fan that transported me back
I first ate Lu Rou Fan on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the comforting and warming quality I remembered. scallion was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.
Taiwanese night markets are a pillar of social life and street food culture. It was the a Taipei night market memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. Kavalan whisky was offered and brought the whole experience together. Some dishes are attached to a time and place. This one finally restored that attachment.
