First time trying Lu Rou Fan — completely converted

I had never tried Lu Rou Fan before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The umami-rich taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. scallion is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

The a Taipei night market setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. bubble tea was invented in Taiwan and exported globally as one of the most influential food trends of recent decades. My server recommended Kavalan whisky alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Lu Rou Fan. Outstanding first encounter.
