First time trying Janssons Frestelse — completely converted

I had never tried Janssons Frestelse before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The clean and subtly sweet taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. cream is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

The a Swedish smörgåsbord table setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. Swedish fika culture elevates the coffee break with pastries into a social institution. My server recommended lingonberry juice alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Janssons Frestelse. Outstanding first encounter.
