Best String Hoppers I've had — and I've tried a few
Having eaten String Hoppers at several restaurants over the past year, I can say this version is the best. The fiery and aromatic quality is more pronounced here than anywhere else I've tried. Ceylon cinnamon is handled with real knowledge — you can taste the difference.
This is proper a family hoppers breakfast cooking, not an adaptation for foreign tastes. ginger beer was the obvious choice and the combination was perfect. Sri Lankan cuisine differs markedly between Sinhalese, Tamil, and Burgher traditions on the same island. Would return for this dish alone.
