Decent Lamprais — nothing more, nothing less

Lamprais at this place was fine. The tangy from goraka and tamarind flavour was there but not distinguished. pandan was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.

Maldive fish is a uniquely Sri Lankan ingredient with no close equivalent elsewhere. The a family hoppers breakfast setting was generic rather than immersive. king coconut water was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Lamprais it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
