Honest verdict on Tortilla Española — good but not exceptional

Tortilla Española here was solidly made — deeply aromatic without anything to complain about. saffron was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

the tapas tradition developed as small accompaniments to drinks. The a tapas bar in Barcelona atmosphere was pleasant enough. Estrella Damm beer was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Tortilla Española this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
