Decent Boerewors — nothing more, nothing less

Boerewors at this place was fine. The sweet-tangy from chutney flavour was there but not distinguished. Mrs Ball's chutney was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.

the braai is a cross-cultural South African institution that transcends racial and social divides. The a shebeen township tavern setting was generic rather than immersive. Pinotage wine was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Boerewors it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
