Holiday memory — Bobotie that transported me back

I first ate Bobotie on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the spiced and savoury quality I remembered. boerewors spice mix was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.

the braai is a cross-cultural South African institution that transcends racial and social divides. It was the a Cape Malay restaurant in Cape Town memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. Pinotage wine was offered and brought the whole experience together. Some dishes are attached to a time and place. This one finally restored that attachment.
