Decent Laksa — nothing more, nothing less
Laksa at this place was fine. The richly coconut-sweet flavour was there but not distinguished. sambal belacan paste was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.
the cuisine blends Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Peranakan traditions in a unique fusion. The a hawker centre setting was generic rather than immersive. fresh coconut water was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Laksa it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
