First time trying Chilli Crab — completely converted

I had never tried Chilli Crab before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The complex and fiery taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. lemongrass is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

The a Michelin-starred hawker stall setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. Singapore's hawker culture was inscribed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2020. My server recommended bandung rose milk drink alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Chilli Crab. Outstanding first encounter.
