Honest verdict on Barszcz — good but not exceptional

Barszcz here was solidly made — rich and comforting without anything to complain about. sauerkraut was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Polish cuisine reflects Central European and Slavic agricultural traditions. The a home kitchen in winter atmosphere was pleasant enough. Żubrówka bison grass vodka was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Barszcz this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
