Honest verdict on Nihari — good but not exceptional

Nihari here was solidly made — boldly spiced and aromatic without anything to complain about. Kashmiri chilli was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Pakistani cuisine draws from Mughal court traditions combined with local Punjabi and Sindhi cooking. The a family Eid feast atmosphere was pleasant enough. lassi was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Nihari this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
