Decent Rakfisk — nothing more, nothing less
Rakfisk at this place was fine. The rich and slightly sweet flavour was there but not distinguished. brown cheese was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.
Norwegian coastal geography shaped a cuisine centred on preserved and fresh fish. The a Bergen fish market lunch setting was generic rather than immersive. Norwegian lager was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Rakfisk it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
