I spent three months trying every version of Pepper Soup I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled locust beans dawadawa with genuine knowledge and the rich and earthy from palm oil result was noticeably superior.

suya spiced meat skewers are eaten across West Africa but claim deep Nigerian roots. The winning restaurant had the right a Nigerian restaurant abroad feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. Chapman cocktail was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Pepper Soup is made properly it's a completely different experience.
