Honest verdict on Egusi Soup — good but not exceptional

Egusi Soup here was solidly made — complex and robust without anything to complain about. ogiri fermented seeds was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

suya spiced meat skewers are eaten across West Africa but claim deep Nigerian roots. The a Lagos buka local restaurant atmosphere was pleasant enough. zobo hibiscus drink was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Egusi Soup this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
