Honest verdict on Bastilla — good but not exceptional

Bastilla here was solidly made — warmly spiced and aromatic without anything to complain about. medjool dates was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

hospitality rituals including mint tea service are integral to the food experience. The a riad rooftop dinner in Marrakech atmosphere was pleasant enough. Moroccan mint tea was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Bastilla this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
