Decent Pozole — nothing more, nothing less
Pozole at this place was fine. The deeply aromatic flavour was there but not distinguished. dried ancho chilli was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.
pre-Columbian ingredients like corn, beans, and chilli form the foundation. The a family mercado lunch setting was generic rather than immersive. horchata was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Pozole it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
