Honest verdict on Hainanese Chicken Rice — good but not exceptional

Hainanese Chicken Rice here was solidly made — bold and complex without anything to complain about. curry leaves was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Malaysian cuisine reflects the Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous Orang Asli traditions of a multicultural society. The a Baba Nyonya Peranakan restaurant atmosphere was pleasant enough. fresh sugarcane juice was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Hainanese Chicken Rice this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
