Underwhelming Tabbouleh — expected more
I was looking forward to Tabbouleh here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The bright and balanced character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with za'atar or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.

Decent Tabbouleh — nothing more, nothing less
Tabbouleh at this place was fine. The fresh and citrusy flavour was there but not distinguished. za'atar was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.

Restaurant review — Tabbouleh that actually delivered
I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Tabbouleh well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The fresh and citrusy base was authentic and the use of tahini showed real knowledge.

Home cooking attempt — Tabbouleh from scratch
I spent an afternoon making Tabbouleh from scratch following a traditional recipe. Getting sumac right was the main challenge — it's not as straightforward as it looks. The aromatic with herbs and spice result was rewarding once I got it right.

Pairing Tabbouleh correctly — a note on Lebanese wine
Most people overlook how much the right drink changes Tabbouleh. I ordered it with Lebanese wine and the fresh and citrusy elements of the dish sharpened considerably against the pairing. pine nuts in particular became more prominent in a good way.

Tabbouleh as comfort food — exactly what I needed
Some dishes exist to comfort and Tabbouleh is absolutely in that category. The aromatic with herbs and spice quality works on something almost primal — you feel the warmth of it immediately. seven-spice baharat blend does work that no substitute can replicate.

First time trying Tabbouleh — completely converted
I had never tried Tabbouleh before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The fresh and citrusy taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. seven-spice baharat blend is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

Honest verdict on Tabbouleh — good but not exceptional
Tabbouleh here was solidly made — bright and balanced without anything to complain about. seven-spice baharat blend was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Street food Tabbouleh — the authentic version
The best Tabbouleh I've ever had came from a street stall, not a restaurant. The fresh and citrusy intensity was completely different — more direct and uncompromised. pine nuts was used without hesitation, the way it should be.

Traditional versus modern Tabbouleh — which wins?
I've now had Tabbouleh prepared traditionally and in a modern interpretation. Both are interesting. The traditional version emphasises seven-spice baharat blend in the way Lebanese hospitality is expressed through abundance on the table. The fresh and citrusy character is more pronounced and direct.…
