Restaurant review — Tonkatsu that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Tonkatsu well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The delicate and precise base was authentic and the use of sake showed real knowledge.

Japanese cuisine philosophy of shokunin craftsmanship shapes how even simple dishes are prepared. The atmosphere was genuinely a ramen shop at lunchtime, which the food matched. cold Sapporo beer came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
