First time trying Bammy — completely converted

I had never tried Bammy before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The rich and coconut-sweet taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. scotch bonnet is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

The a Kingston jerk pit setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. Jamaican jerk cooking traces to the Maroon communities who preserved meat with allspice and chilli. My server recommended Red Stripe beer alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Bammy. Outstanding first encounter.
