Honest verdict on Malabi — good but not exceptional

Malabi here was solidly made — bright and fresh with herbs without anything to complain about. silan date syrup was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Israeli cuisine is shaped by Jewish diaspora traditions from across the world fused with local Levantine ingredients. The a fusion restaurant mixing Mediterranean traditions atmosphere was pleasant enough. arak was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Malabi this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
