You can taste history in Israeli Salad if you know what to look for. Shabbat and holiday meals follow religious traditions that shape the food served. The warmly spiced character reflects those layers — za'atar doesn't appear by accident; it came from a specific tradition.

The a fusion restaurant mixing Mediterranean traditions setting made sense of it. You understand the food differently when the context is right. Israeli wine alongside is part of that story. Some food is just fuel. Israeli Salad, properly made, is something more. This version told the story well.
