Hummus for a dinner party — went down extremely well
I made Hummus for eight guests who had varying familiarity with the cuisine. Every single person asked for the recipe. The sesame-rich and nutty profile was the main talking point — no one had quite experienced silan date syrup used that way before.
Shabbat and holiday meals follow religious traditions that shape the food served. I explained the a fusion restaurant mixing Mediterranean traditions context as I served it which helped people appreciate it fully. mint lemonade was what I offered alongside and it worked perfectly. Excellent dinner party dish — impressive without being inaccessible.
