I spent three months trying every version of Burekas I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled tahini with genuine knowledge and the sesame-rich and nutty result was noticeably superior.

Shabbat and holiday meals follow religious traditions that shape the food served. The winning restaurant had the right a Tel Aviv hummusiya feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. fresh orange juice was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Burekas is made properly it's a completely different experience.
