Holiday memory — Nasi Goreng that transported me back
I first ate Nasi Goreng on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the deeply spiced with galangal and lemongrass quality I remembered. coconut milk was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.
Indonesian cuisine spans over 17,000 islands with dramatically different regional traditions. It was the a Padang restaurant with displayed dishes memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. es teh manis iced sweet tea was offered and brought the whole experience together. Some dishes are attached to a time and place. This one finally restored that attachment.
