Best Dal Makhani I've had — and I've tried a few
Having eaten Dal Makhani at several restaurants over the past year, I can say this version is the best. The rich and complex quality is more pronounced here than anywhere else I've tried. ghee is handled with real knowledge — you can taste the difference.
This is proper a family home kitchen on a weekend cooking, not an adaptation for foreign tastes. nimbu pani lemon water was the obvious choice and the combination was perfect. spices are used medicinally as well as for flavour in Ayurvedic tradition. Would return for this dish alone.
