Finding the best Biryani in the city — a personal search
I spent three months trying every version of Biryani I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled ghee with genuine knowledge and the rich and complex result was noticeably superior.

Ingredient appreciation — what makes Biryani special
What sets Biryani apart is the handling of yogurt marinade. In lesser versions this is treated as a background note. Here it's central and the rich and complex result shows it. I've started buying it to cook with at home after this experience.

Home cooking attempt — Biryani from scratch
I spent an afternoon making Biryani from scratch following a traditional recipe. Getting fenugreek leaves right was the main challenge — it's not as straightforward as it looks. The warmly spiced and aromatic result was rewarding once I got it right.

First time trying Biryani — completely converted
I had never tried Biryani before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The tangy and vibrant taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. yogurt marinade is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

Restaurant review — Biryani that actually delivered

Cooking class experience — learning Biryani properly
I took a cooking class specifically to learn how to make Biryani correctly. The instructor explained why ghee is used the way it is — something I'd never understood from just eating it. The deeply layered result when you make it yourself is different.

Decent Biryani — nothing more, nothing less
Biryani at this place was fine. The rich and complex flavour was there but not distinguished. yogurt marinade was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.

Street food Biryani — the authentic version
The best Biryani I've ever had came from a street stall, not a restaurant. The warmly spiced and aromatic intensity was completely different — more direct and uncompromised. ghee was used without hesitation, the way it should be.

Holiday memory — Biryani that transported me back
I first ate Biryani on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the deeply layered quality I remembered. fenugreek leaves was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.
