Restaurant review — Halászlé that actually delivered
I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Halászlé well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The hearty and warming base was authentic and the use of sweet paprika showed real knowledge.
Hungarian cuisine was shaped by nomadic Magyar traditions mixed with Ottoman and Habsburg influences. The atmosphere was genuinely a family Sunday lunch, which the food matched. Dreher beer came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
