Finding the best Souvlaki in the city — a personal search

I spent three months trying every version of Souvlaki I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled Kalamata olives with genuine knowledge and the bright and lemony result was noticeably superior.

Greek cuisine has influenced the entire Mediterranean culinary tradition for millennia. The winning restaurant had the right a family Sunday meal feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. Greek coffee after the meal was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Souvlaki is made properly it's a completely different experience.
