First time trying Fufu — completely converted
I had never tried Fufu before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The subtly sweet from plantain taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. dried fish is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.
The a market jollof rice stall setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. the debate over Ghanaian versus Nigerian jollof rice is a celebrated West African rivalry. My server recommended Club Beer alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Fufu. Outstanding first encounter.
Fufu
