Honest verdict on Banku — good but not exceptional

Banku here was solidly made — smoky and warming without anything to complain about. kontomire cocoyam leaves was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

fufu and soup eating requires communal sharing and is eaten with the hands. The a Accra chop bar atmosphere was pleasant enough. sobolo sorrel drink was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Banku this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
