Restaurant review — French Onion Soup that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do French Onion Soup well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The rich and refined base was authentic and the use of butter showed real knowledge.

French cuisine is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The atmosphere was genuinely a countryside auberge, which the food matched. Champagne came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
