Finding the best Crème Brûlée in the city — a personal search
I spent three months trying every version of Crème Brûlée I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled butter with genuine knowledge and the rich and refined result was noticeably superior.
French cuisine is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The winning restaurant had the right a brasserie lunch feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. Burgundy red wine was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Crème Brûlée is made properly it's a completely different experience.
