Decent Coq au Vin — nothing more, nothing less
Coq au Vin at this place was fine. The buttery and aromatic flavour was there but not distinguished. thyme was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.
French cuisine is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The a Parisian bistro setting was generic rather than immersive. Champagne was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Coq au Vin it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
