Honest verdict on Doro Wat — good but not exceptional

Doro Wat here was solidly made — deep and earthy without anything to complain about. mitmita bird's eye chilli was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Ethiopian communal eating with no utensils from a shared injera is a social and hygienic tradition. The an Addis Ababa restaurant atmosphere was pleasant enough. tej was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Doro Wat this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
