Ayib at this place was fine. The intensely spiced and complex flavour was there but not distinguished. berbere spice blend was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.

Ethiopian communal eating with no utensils from a shared injera is a social and hygienic tradition. The an Ethiopian diaspora restaurant abroad setting was generic rather than immersive. Ethiopian coffee ceremony was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Ayib it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
