Honest verdict on Hawawshi — good but not exceptional

Hawawshi here was solidly made — deeply savoury and spiced without anything to complain about. lentils was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

koshari is considered the national dish representing the multicultural influence on Egyptian cooking. The a family home dinner atmosphere was pleasant enough. ayran was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Hawawshi this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
