Honest verdict on Fritada — good but not exceptional

Fritada here was solidly made — earthy from corn without anything to complain about. choclo corn was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

llapingachos potato cakes are a highland staple tied to Andean agricultural tradition. The a Quito mercado central atmosphere was pleasant enough. naranjilla juice was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Fritada this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
