Decent Wienerbrød — nothing more, nothing less

Wienerbrød at this place was fine. The clean and fermented flavour was there but not distinguished. pickled herring was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.

the julefrokost Christmas lunch is a major social event with traditional dishes strictly observed. The a Copenhagen smørrebrød lunch bar setting was generic rather than immersive. Danish lager was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Wienerbrød it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
