Honest verdict on Koldskål — good but not exceptional

Koldskål here was solidly made — buttery and rich without anything to complain about. pickled herring was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

the julefrokost Christmas lunch is a major social event with traditional dishes strictly observed. The a traditional Sunday brunch atmosphere was pleasant enough. Danish lager was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Koldskål this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
