Cultural discovery through Trdelník

Trdelník opened a door into a cuisine I'd previously known almost nothing about. The hearty and deeply savoury flavours are unlike anything in my usual rotation and I mean that positively. Czech cuisine is inseparable from beer culture, one of the world's highest per-capita consumption nations. Understanding that context made the dish taste different — richer with meaning.
