Home cooking attempt — Bramboráky from scratch
I spent an afternoon making Bramboráky from scratch following a traditional recipe. Getting pork knuckle right was the main challenge — it's not as straightforward as it looks. The hearty and deeply savoury result was rewarding once I got it right.
Czech cuisine is inseparable from beer culture, one of the world's highest per-capita consumption nations. I served it with Moravian wine as the recipe suggested and the pairing made sense. It took longer than I expected but the outcome was genuinely satisfying. Making Bramboráky yourself gives you a new appreciation for what goes into it at a restaurant.
