Honest verdict on Shan Noodles — good but not exceptional
Shan Noodles here was solidly made — complex and earthy without anything to complain about. lemongrass was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.
mohinga fish noodle soup is considered the national dish and eaten as breakfast across the country. The a traditional Burmese home breakfast atmosphere was pleasant enough. toddy palm juice was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Shan Noodles this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
