Holiday memory — Khauk Swè Thohk that transported me back

I first ate Khauk Swè Thohk on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the warming with turmeric quality I remembered. dried shrimp was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.

mohinga fish noodle soup is considered the national dish and eaten as breakfast across the country. It was the a Mandalay restaurant memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. lahpet yay tea leaf tea was offered and brought the whole experience together. Some dishes are attached to a time and place. This one finally restored that attachment.
