Honest verdict on Khauk Swè Thohk — good but not exceptional
Khauk Swè Thohk here was solidly made — savoury and slightly sour without anything to complain about. fermented tea leaves laphet was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.
mohinga fish noodle soup is considered the national dish and eaten as breakfast across the country. The a mohinga street stall at dawn atmosphere was pleasant enough. lahpet yay tea leaf tea was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Khauk Swè Thohk this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
