Restaurant review — Khauk Swè Thohk that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Khauk Swè Thohk well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The savoury and slightly sour base was authentic and the use of fermented tea leaves laphet showed real knowledge.

laphet fermented tea leaf salad is a uniquely Burmese ingredient used in salads and as a stimulant snack. The atmosphere was genuinely a traditional Burmese home breakfast, which the food matched. Myanmar Beer came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
