Restaurant review — Sticky Toffee Pudding that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Sticky Toffee Pudding well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The rich and savoury base was authentic and the use of proper beef suet showed real knowledge.

British cuisine was shaped by the Empire, introducing curries and international ingredients into the national diet. The atmosphere was genuinely a country house hotel, which the food matched. dry cider came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
