Holiday memory — Sticky Toffee Pudding that transported me back
I first ate Sticky Toffee Pudding on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the deeply satisfying quality I remembered. malt vinegar was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.
British cuisine was shaped by the Empire, introducing curries and international ingredients into the national diet. It was the a traditional seaside chippy memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. real ale was offered and brought the whole experience together. Some dishes are attached to a time and place. This one finally restored that attachment.
